We adopted a dual strategy. First, we mapped existing pickleball sponsors, identifying relevant brands. Second, we targeted categories like energy drinks and fitness products that are interested in health-conscious consumers. Personalized, customized messaging was crafted for each prospect, demonstrating how pickleball could enhance their brand reach through strategic sponsorships.






As an up-and-coming organization that hosts over 140 tournaments in more than 40 U.S. cities, the APA wanted to increase its revenue but didn’t have the resources for a successful sponsorship sales program. As its quick expansion coincided with pickleball’s growing popularity, the APA found it challenging to concentrate on anything other than organizing tournaments, causing it to miss important sponsorship opportunities.
Recognizing pickleball’s rapid rise as the fastest-growing sport in the U.S., we identified APA’s revenue potential beyond tournament registration fees. The APA could serve as a platform for diverse brands—beyond pickleball equipment—to reach a health-conscious, fitness-oriented audience interested in products like energy bars and sports drinks.
