In a few weeks, my daughter, Bianca, will turn 10 years old

In a few weeks, my daughter, Bianca, will turn 10 years old.

Over the last few months, I’ve seen a change.

Bianca’s life was once Barbie and mermaids.

But now, there are ‘mean girls’ and boys, making life more complex.

Mom and Dad no longer take care of everything.

She’s responsible for getting herself ready, doing chores, and managing her own money.

Bianca is racing to finish her reading list, but the books are more challenging this summer.

She’s questioning whether she’s ready for 5th grade.

Bianca’s had a few meltdowns these last few weeks.

I’ve been trying to empathize.

Growing up is hard.

Next week we have new hires starting.

Our team size will double, and dynamics will change.

How do I maintain company culture?

I won’t be able to be as hands-on with each client and team member.

Where do I allocate my time to make the most significant impact?

We forecast the company could double in size again soon.

Do I have what it takes to get us there?

Growing up is hard.

Otherwise, everyone would do it.
