What do a corporate merger, a meniscus injury, and raising a teenager have in common?

What do a corporate merger, a meniscus injury, and raising a teenager have in common?

Change.

It’s one of life’s few constants, yet many resist it.

Adapting to change is essential for growth and resilience.

Shifts in the business world.

Personal challenges.

Family dynamics.

The marketing industry is buzzing with uncertainty following the announcement of the IPG and Omnicom merger.

People have asked for my perspective.

But the truth is, I’m not close enough to the situation to make predictions.

What I do know is that people, businesses, and industries are resilient.

Winners will emerge.

Others may stumble.

But the industry will move forward.

This belief resonates in my own company.

This year brought unexpected challenges.

We didn’t hit our revenue goals and had to make difficult decisions about our strategy and services.

It felt like a step back.

But those tough choices are paving the way for a brighter, more sustainable future.

This evolution will bring me closer to the goal of growing, scaling, and eventually exiting.

On a personal level, I’ve faced setbacks on the pickleball court.

After rapid progress in the sport, a meniscus injury and subsequent surgery forced me to slow down.

Recovery tested my patience and discipline.

But I’m training again, refocused, and determined to push forward to reach my goal of playing senior pro when I turn 50.

Progress may sometimes feel stalled, but persistence will pay off.

At home, I’m watching my daughter grow into a teenager.

I miss the simpler joys of her childhood.

But I’m proud of the young woman she’s becoming.

I take pride in supporting her growth and finding new ways to connect.

Change isn’t always easy, but it’s where we grow.

It challenges us to let go of what was and embrace what can be.

The path forward isn’t always straightforward.

But it starts with showing up, doing the work, and believing in the possibility of something better.

The best days are still ahead—for me, you, and all of us.

You’re not alone.

Stay focused.

Stay resilient.

The best you can do is the best you can do.

The Best You Can Do Is The Best You Can Do
