Monday Motivation

Here we go again!

Here we go again!

Like everyone, I made a lot of mistakes growing up.

Relationships.

Financial.

Health.

With my first business, we hit a plateau.

Eager to shake things up, I decided to expand.

I introduced new services.

I invested time, money, and resources.

However, our new services struggled to find their footing.

Momentum was slow.

I was worried but held onto hope.

Meanwhile, the core of our business started to falter.

As we expanded, our roots started to loosen.

Reliable clients began to wane.

The alarm bells rang.

We were losing our grip on both fronts.

Our expansion became a distraction.

I made a tough call.

We reeled back our new ventures.

It was time to regroup, refocus, and rediscover our core.

As a second-time business founder, I draw on these past experiences.

This wisdom, forged from these adventures, guides me.

It shows patterns and warns me of pitfalls.

It keeps me from old, rocky paths.

But as I think about growth and expansion today, I am gun-shy from the experiences of my first business.

Do we have the time, money, and resources?

Will this hurt our core business?

But wisdom can betray us.

As we grow, wisdom might transform into a cage.

Past mistakes influence us.

They push us away from fresh starts, new chances.

All because they mirror old failures, old errors.

But no two situations are truly alike.

Each one is a fresh canvas, untouched by our past.

Although it feels like I have ‘seen this movie before,’ I keep an open mind.

I strive to blend wisdom with bold curiosity.

I want wisdom to guide me but not blind me.

The past should illuminate the path forward, not obstruct it.

Maybe you, too, can relate.

Your relationships.

Your career.

Your health.

Use your past as a guide, not a gatekeeper.

Wisdom is your window to the world.

Scrub it every once in a while, or the light won’t come in.

Wisdom Is Your Window To The World. Scrub It Every Once In A While, Or The LIiht Won't Come In
